Multi-City Airline Tickets Increase Dramatically In Price

If you typically book multi-city tickets when traveling on the three major airlines, you may now be paying dramatically more due to a recent change by the big airlines. American, United and Delta airlines have changed the way they price multi-city trips, costing travelers hundreds of dollars more. Some travelers, especially those flying for business, are seeing airfares six or seven times the typical price. The way to avoid this is to book each flight individually and not on the same ticket. The big airlines attribute the changes to the need to compete with low-price carriers like Southwest and Spirit.
